The AD Report had its first, ‘LP of the Month’ honor last month. Where southern New Jersey artist, Ronnie Low received the first honor for his work on Winter Heat Wave 2. Check out his LP when given the chance!
For February, our next recipient for this honor is another New Jersey native. He’s full of pride and charisma. His recent project will have you coming back for more and he is as consistent as you know it. The LP of the Month goes to, ZOELAND by Big Shot. The Ashbury Park native. Who: Big Shot is an up and coming rapper who is looking to perfect his ‘sound and vision’. He’s very prideful about his Haitian roots and where he comes from. This is his second project to date after releasing his debut EP, ‘Jungle Life’. Why: His project is short and sweet to the point. A little over 20 minutes’ total with seven tracks. He brings a hard-hitting attitude to the table and has confidence in what he’s doing. He has plenty of support behind him from his crew because they like what he’s selling. Big Shot also isn’t afraid to go solo on his hooks. Many won’t do that but again, this refers to his confidence. This project is a solid listen and he looks to get only better. Where: Check him out on DatPiff & follow him on Twitter! Favorite song on project: SHOTS. Congrats and keep on grinding!

The AD Report is running it back Pod Excellence!
For last month, I awarded The Defeated hosted by Will, Arun, and Harsh for their wide array of topics discussed in a casual and authentic tone. Never a dull moment on the mic and I thank them for that. Check them out! For the month of February, we’re going to end Black History Month right by giving credit to two young black men who host a podcast you guys should be checking out. Enter, the Chicken Social podcast. Who: Obes & Cha. What: The two discuss current events, social issues, pop culture (past and present), sports, entertainment, and ordeals that go on in their everyday lives. (Beware though, if you like something that’s nostalgic, Obes will make you think twice about it)! Why: These two are charismatic figures and they have nice chemistry together. I learn something from them every time. The sound mixing and production done on this podcast is pretty dope too. Something that’s outside of the box. Many podcasts don’t go above and beyond with that. That’s something I aspire to do with my own sound projects. When: They’re usually consistent with dropping episodes. Check out for them on Tuesdays. Where: Subscribe to the show on iTunes and check out their website! They won’t disappoint and they’re bound to keep you interested. Welcome to Pod Excellence. |
